Networker Admin Tool Error

I have just reinstalled my pc and now cannot connect to our backup server using the windows admin tool. I get the following error when i try.

Server brabackupu: unable to receive

Can anyone help me out here?

no matter fixed this myself for some reason it needs xhost to be running in order for thisto work
