I have about 5 HP 4050 printers on my LAN. All work off the same print server. I just got in a new HP 4100. I install the drivers on the the server and all my 4050's went nuts. So I updated the 4050 drivers and things are slowly getting back to normal. Some machines had to have the printers removed and reinstalled to be able to print landscape. The new problem is my few remaining Windows NT 4 boxes. The aren't allowed to change the setting to landscape. Even if I create a network printer that is defaulted to print landscape it won't do it. I tried giving them access to manage printers, but then I get a general protection fault saying that not all tabs will be available. Should I install a local tcp/ip port and point it at the printers IP? I have done this in the past because certain software couldn't maintain settings. Maybe it's a rights issue. I should have just stuck to programming.
