I am intending to take the A+ next week and then study for the Network + with the intention of taking it within six months time or at least by the end of 2005.
I am looking at the third edition of the Mike Myers book for the Network +. Is this appropriate please?

Many Thanks.

MrTBC,

CompTIA will be releasing an update to the Network+ exam within the next few months. If you plan to take the Network+ in 6-10 months, you'd be better off waiting for a book that covers the 2005 objectives.

I have a two part question.
1)How is the new net+ test different than the one that's out now?
2)Does this mean if somebody was going to take the net+ test within the next month or so will they have to take the test again when the new one comes out?

Will I ever need to renew my certification?
No, CompTIA certifications are lifetime certification.
