Hi Guys

I'd like some advice to what is probably a simple issue to some of you, hopefully!
We have two servers at work, one running SBS2k and a second running as a SQL server (also 2k). I need to create network share on the SQL box but when I do I get 'you do not have permission to access this resource' box.
Checked permissions and everything seems OK - 'everyone' is the default although I have tried many options including domain accounts. Local security rights seem OK as well. At best all I can achieve is a username/password box which won't accept any user/password!
Has anyone got any ideas where I can look next? Thanks

Well since you are running sbs2k then I would take guess and say that your SBS2k Box is your Domian Controller.

Is your SQL Box a Member Server or just a server sitting outside of your domain?

The SQL box is a member server.

When you access the box try this

when it asks you for a username and password

Username - <domain>\<username>
Password - Password

Tried that using domain admin/local admin/domain user credentials - still no joy.
Default shares are there - c$, admin$ etc.
Entered users have access to box from network etc.
Tearing hair out now!
