Hi
running a Win2003 server with 8 clients running 2k and XP
Lately network performance has ground to a halt. Taking ages to copy files to the server share, Outlook opening slowly, taking ages to browse shares etc.
I ran performance monitor on the server looking at the network counters and noticed the total bandwidth is constantly running at 100 percent usage, this isnt right as other 2003 servers i support are running at 6 or 7.
All the PC's are up to date with anti virus and microsoft patches for blaster, nachi etc.
No one is downloading as far as i can see, no one is doing anything they shouldnt.
Internet access is through a hardware firewall so the server isnt being used for ISA.
Im getting everyone to shut down their PC's this afternoon but in the mean time I am stumped as to what to look at.
Any ideas as to what I should look at next?
thanks
