We have a small MS Network involving 4 PCs. 3 run W98, one runs W2K. We have 2 problems, which may be caused by the same thing.
1) One of the Win 98 PC's cannot see the Win 2000 machine in it's 'Network Neighbourhood'. Strangely enough, if I go to 'Start':'Find':'Computer' and type in it's name, it finds the missing W2K PC (and I have full access to files etc). Why does the W2K PC not show up in the W98's Network Neighborhood? (Win 2000 has the correct permissions etc, and the W98 PC has identical network settings to the other 2 W98 PC's that work fine).
2) Must be related to the above - The W2K machine cannot see the above W98 machine at all in it's 'Network Places'. If I use 'Find' to search for the missing PC it cannot be found. Can't gain any access at all. All password permissions etc are set up correctly.
Any ideas gratefully received.
