Network Management Best Practices

I am looking for information on best practices for managing a 2000 network. I am hoping to get a set on daily, weekly and monthly jobs we should be doing to insure the health of our network - logs to be reviewing, applying patch and rebooting schedule, etc. Can you point me to a book or web site that would be a good resource. Thanks.
