I have a LAN setup using all windows xp computers. I logon to a network computer using user name and password. Then when I go back and access this computer I am not prompted to log in but go directly to the folders/files. How can I prevent this from occuring. I would like to have it so everytime I try and access this computer i get prompted for the login.

I do know when i use net use i can delete the share and then it will prompt me for the login again. However, I do not want to delete this connection manually each time I access this computer.

I hope I have been clear and hope(even more) someone know how to fix this.

I have attempted to use regedit and add disablepsswdcashing but this did not help.

Don't think this is the right forum, BTW.

Most people would call this a "feature". One problem is that if the drive is in use, do you really want to "net use /delete " it? I believe there an option to force /delete, like /no.

One could create a .bat that had enough logic to delete all network volumes, but I am not sure if there is a place to put it that would execute it (except for manually) when you unlock the session. ( I am not a windows guy)

Yeah, I'd ask this in the XP forum.

I have set a group policy under,

user configuration, admin templates,control panel,display,

password protected the screen saver & screen saver time out.

So that if my PC is inactive for 30 mintues, it locks and i have to re-type my password
