hey,
a guy i work with has got a laptop with XP Pro, he uses this laptop offiste and dials up to the network drive to access files. now, he's done something [he doesn't quite know what tho] thats messed things up - i suspect its something to do with syncronisation or offline files/folder settings.
when he puts the laptop on the network at the office and connects a network drive all is great, then if you disconnect it and try reconnecting it, only one folder of the drive is opened up, no matter how many times i reconnect it its still this one folder he see's - the only way to see the whole network drive is to restart the machine and reconnect the drive.
when he's offsite and works offline he has access to that foilder, and when he dials up to the network drive he only see's this one folder, not the whole drive.
every other laptop we have in work is fine, wich leads me to believe its local to the laptop. is there any known way to clear the history/settings of mapped drives and sort this out.
thanks someone once told me to shut up...
