Where is the dirve located? A server near you?
Reboot the machine thats hosting your network drive.

Let us know if that fixes your problem.

it didn't work, I lost everything now, I tried to scan the drive, it is not scanable, therefore, I lost everything, is there anyway that i can get my data back?
Or fix this hardrive?

what kind of hard-drive? brand? go to their website... download diagnostics...

this is to make sure that you have a bad HD. If you have a spare computer... try attaching it there first then boot from diagnostics...

maybe its not the drive... I hope that this is the case...

If the drive is not a system partition, you can try running chkdsk over it.

If it is, try plugging it into another machine to run chkdsk.

If it turns out the drive has failed, and you have no backups, then there is no way to restore the data unfortunantly. Perhaps it's time to talk to management about some form of backup solution? [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K
