I have an XP SP2 computer that works great before its joined to the 2003 domain. But as soon as I joined it to the domain, the network connections service on the xp sp2 computer will not start completely. It just says that its starting but never finishes. The result is that there are no network icons displayed in Network settings. I have thoroughly followed KB , , and but the service still wont start. This seems odd that it works great before I join it, but as soon as I join it to the domain, and restart, the service wont start. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know sir...I guess its broke.

I forgot to mention: it is imperative that your Winsock stack be correct. In XP SP2:

Start, Run, cmd

netsh winsock reset catalog

(wait for the prompt that a restart is required).

Reboot your computer.

The PRC service starts normally. Only the Network connections service doesnt start. I will check on the events and post them. I have went through all those the KBs that apply. Ill try the Winsock stack and post the results. Its weird that it works fine until I join it to the domain.
