I have four ports for network connections in my server. but for some reason, these connection go down at least once a day. so whenever it goes down, I have to click "repair" on the network connection icon. I am just wondering if clicking "repairing" too much causes any problem, or where I should check to find out what causes this network connection problem. There is no problem with the T1 provider. I already checked it with them. I am using PowerEdge 2850. And dell is giving me a dump troubleshooting without diagnosing it correctly.

So for the temporary solution, I have a script that executes commands that actually do "repair" on the network connection.

please help. It's kind of urgent.

Thanks.

Hi We use poweredge 2850 and had similar problems. We downloaded the latest drivers from the Dell site and installed those. Was working fine since. If you still have a problem with the NIC's afterwards id suggest running the performance monitor and capture all data to and from the NIC's. when it crashes you can then analyse the data to see if it was malicious code or a piece of software causing problems
