Does anybody out there know of a freeware auditing tool, that will run on a NT network, to report installed software on remote PC's.
Ideally, I would like to have an application that will run from a server without having to install software at the client end.
I am running some batch files that can interrogate remote PC's to report hard drive contents, but the output (csv file) is difficult to incorporate into a spreadsheet or database, to provide a complete software audit of all networked PC's.
I'm looking for an application that could do all the hard work for me.
Any clues?
Apologies if this has not been posted on the correct thread. DEC

what you are loooking for can be achieved from the "Evil"
side ! I mean in hacking it would be a network analysis that will provide info on network topo
read the very well written book from John Chirillo
Hack Attacks denied
there are included many good tools that will help you
and a CD with most codes and tools

What I was really after, is a downloadable freeware app. I need to audit, for licence purposes all the networked PC's in our establishment. I have a complete list of PC ID's, so mapping network drives is easy, but very long winded. I would really like an app. that would interrogate the hard drives of all the PC's within the network for me and ideally present the results in a way that one could easily see what software is installed.
I have already searched the 'net for suitable apps. but have found nothing viable yet.

Any help would be appreciated. DEC
