Network Appliance Device with SQL Server

Anyone have any experience using SQL Server (7 or 2000) with a Network Attached Storage Device (NAS)? Specifically we're looking at using Network Appliance, to relieve some space issues. Microsoft KnowledgeBase cautiously says its possible, NetworkAppliance obviously says it works fine. Anybody have any success or horror stories?
