I have several IBM servers (X232's and X330's) 25 in all and they all have two network adaptors installed and setup as a fault tolerance team, what I need to know is will the teaming software cause a large amount of 886D DLC protocol broadcasts? As one of our network guys has been monitoring the situation and wants an answer.

Thanks,

Carl.

Do you have DLC loaded on the boxes?

The DLC protocol is usually used with SNA and an IBM AS400.

No, only protocol loaded is TCP/IP, wondered if the Intel ProsetII software that the teaming is configured with might have loaded this protocol in the back ground as it isn't shown in the network config.

Carl.
