Hello! My problem is that I have a LAN, and I want to add another computer, but I am forced to use windows 95 due to the PC system requirements; I've got other PC's with windows 95 and work correctly. The PC can see other PC's but when I get it into the Domain, I write the user, the password, the domain is displayed, and just at the moment of taking the characteristics of the user (at a Linux server) it displays: "DESKTOP: The route name is too long" and it doesn't let me go farther.

Any help would be very useful, thank you!

Have you tried the linux server forum? I've no experience of running a linux server with 98 machines - that message sounds like some (could it be shortcuts on the desktop) of the profile for the win95 user is stored at a location which makes its unc name too long for 95 to handle. But that's just a guess. Would suggest moving location of profile or shortening user name or both (or checking out what's on the profile's desktop) - but its odd if you have other 95 machines working ok. Is this a new profile for this machine? (If so, can you log on with another one which works on another machine)?

It isn't a new profile, these are profiles which work in other pc's with windows 95.
Do you know what is cachevu.dll used for?
Thank you in advance.
