Hi

After experiencing some problems last week with our GWIA (see thread75-717160), I performed a DSREPAIR and our problems appeared to have been resolved.

I have arrived at work this morning to find that our server was down.

I booted the server and the following messages are returned:

Loading volume "USER"
Activating volume "USER"
** Volume layout v34.00
** Processing journal
** 2 uncommited transaction(s)

The running process will be suspended. Loading module NLSFLAIM.NLM

< time / date > SERVER-5.0-4631 [nmID = 1001C]
Warning! Server NWHC1 experienced a critical error. The offending process was suspended or recovered. However, services hosted by this server may have been affected.

< time / date > SLP-1.7-0
SLP UA WARNING: Unable to contact directory agent. Verify DA availability, IP connectivity, DA discovery options and configuration.

Any advice or direction will be vary, very much appreciated!

start it with no network cable in it and put network cable in it once it booted

go into monitor - slp services (or something like that)
da discovery methods - i'm assuming its set to 15 - ie to get it from the dhcp
set it to 4 and edit the sys:etc/slp.cfg to point to the da

then type slp reset = on

then reboot with network in just to verify
