Netscreen remote 8.3 and Netscreen 25 in transparent mode

I am trying to setup a dialup vpn from netscreen remote 8.3 to a netscreen 25 running in transparent mode. Can this be done? I'd like to use autoike of possible.

On another project, I intend to use 2 netscreen 5xp's to create a VPN bridge between 2 networks at different locatations running in the same ip subnet.. I'd prefer to pass all tcp, udp and multicast packets if possible . Will this be possible? Anything I should look out for?

Hey,

In order for the VPN to work, you would need a Public IP. L2 should support the VPN< but you may need to use Tunnel Int's.

You can use L2 to resolve overlapping Subnets. But, I have never had much success. I hope this helped.
