Netscape can't find attachments

My manager has upgraded to Netscape 7.02 (MacOS 9), and when she tries to send an email with an attachment, it will freeze (the attachment shows up not just as the document name, but as the entire path to the document). Sometimes we can move the file onto the desktop and attach it just fine, other times we get the path.

Any ideas?
