Hello,
I do tech-support for an isp and in the process of changing a user's e-mail setting in netscape 7.0, I came to the following impass :
We correctly entered the outgoing server name in the account settings and clicked on add account to set up the incoming server. We correctly entered the server name: mail.ispname.com and hit next up came the message: "please enter a valid host name"
I figured maybe the guy spelt something wrong so I had him spell back what he typed in and it was correct. so had had him check the out going server again everything was spelt correct.
I could not find anywhere else that had host name. Can someone please tell me what's up, does the guy need to be connected to the internet at the time of setting up so netscape can check the host name or something?
