Netscape 6.2 POP Mail - Compact Folders

Is there a way to recover e-mails from compacted folders on Netscape 6.2, running under WIN95b?

I can find the folder for my profile and underneath it I see the file (which was the folder) without an extension. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You should have one file without the extenstion and another file with the same name with a .SNM extension. So I guess the first question would be do you have both files? joegz

for some of them, both files are there, for others no only the one without an extension
