ok boot cdrom -s
then it will boot
you can break the password.

You have 2 options
1] If you have a CD reader available but just no installation CD: download the 'SPARC Solaris 9 Software 1 of 2 CD' image (free) from burn it to CD (iso image). Use it to unset the root password as explained in one of the FAQs in this forum.
You need to register on the Sun web site to download the Solaris image files but are not asked for any contractual information.
2] If you have a jumpstart server on your local subnet. Follow the FAQ but instead of booting from CDROM call 'boot net -s'.
If you don't have a CD drive or another server on your network you could be in trouble.
