1. What is the suggested configuration for setting up a Windows 2003 server SMALL (>10 machines with 1 server) network (I've read many ideas):
a. Router -- > Server ---> Switch ---> Network
.....where the Server has 1 NIC for the Router and the internet and 1 NIC for the local network

b. Router -- > Server and Workstations
....where the Server has 1 NIC for the router

2. Is it better to allow each machine to access the internet individually or should the machines all have to "go through" the server for internet access.

Thanks so much in advance,
Ranginald

If you have a router then there is no need to have the workstations go through the server to get internet access. That would simply put additional load on your server for no reason.
