netmeeting remote desktop sharing

hello folks,
when we go to netmeeting and try to activate remote desktop sharing it's greyed out. we have nothing else shared on the machine. we are running win2kpro sp4 the box is pIII with 128k ram and a 40gig h/d. nothing on m/s knowledgebase that i can find.

You need to have Windows Messenger installed. You should also have:

thanks for the reply bcastner, i've got both messenger and directX doesn't help the controls for desktop sharing are still greyed out.
