I have two NT PC's and I keep getting this error trying to link them to our network. Basically we changed our domain from Darwen to darwen.brookhouse.net but the netlogon was still DARWEN. I now can't connect these to my network as I get an error when I try to join them using the netlogon name. My windows 98 connect fine and my 2000 & XP justy not NT4 anyone any ideas of how to make them join the domain.

did you disjoin form the old domain?

disjoin completely then make sure WINS server is pointing at correct server

then reboot

then try

has this been done already?
what is the error you recieve?

almost got a paragraph there :)

Yes I have even gone back to a workgroup and then retried joining them to the domain. It says the domain does not exist.

are teh records for the machine registered in WINS? can you ping the DC? can you ping the client from teh WINS server and DC? does nbtstat -c have all the proper records cached?
