Hi,

I am having some problems with a VPN using a Netgear
FWAG114 and the ProSafe VPN client installed on a Windows
XP remote computer. I can connect to the FWAG over the
internet and I will be given the IP address 192.168.0.100.
All internal computers are in the 192.168.0.2 -
192.168.0.22 scope.

I can connect to \\192.168.0.20\share but not to
\\computer_name\share I installed a Windows NT WINS server
on my WinNT domain controller and configured the client to
use this server, it did not help. When I tried to install
a WinNT DNS server it crashed half way through, that is
why I currently do not have DNS.

Now, my questions are:
Do I absolutely need to have an internal DNS server
to make the \\computer_name\share mappings work?

Could \ should I use other IP ranges?

/mk
