I am getting an error below during nbu installation on new built clients running Linux 3.0. My master and media server are running 4.5FP5. Is there a workaround solution on this issue wihout upgrading to FP6. NetBackup support was not available for Linux 3.0 until NetBackup 4.5 FP6. If I upgrade to 4.5FP6 (client), do I need to upgrade media and master server to FP6. Will the clients will run evern media/master are one patch below.

[root@barrymore-w2-wl74 init.d]# ./netbackup start
Starting Netbackup: Incorrectly built binary which accesses errno or h_errno directly. Needs to be fixed.

I wasn't using LINUX but,
I have run 4.5_FP6 clients with master&media servers at 4.5_FP5.
I have even run 4.5_FP6 media servers with the master at 4.5_FP5
I have done backups AND restores.
I do NOT recommend doing this, but it may work. It worked for me.

VERITAS support may require you to follow the established pattern of master being at the highest level and media servers/clients at an equal or less level before they will accept your call.

I eventually took the leap to NB5.0_MP3 on my master. Unfortunately I now have a mixed bag of media servers 5.0_MP3, 4.5_FP6, 4.5_FP3 and I am running SSO.
