I am trying to get a Win2K machine to sync up with a Novell 5.1 server and I am having trouble getting it to work. The service is running on the Novell server but when I try a test on an XP box to sync up the time it it comes up with an invalid command or something like that. Any ideas?

I believe that NTP works on port 123 on Novel. Try this command on the w2k box: net time \\novelserver:123 /set
Same goes for the xp box
Hope this helps out a little.

sorry for the wrong advice above. Wrong command

NET TIME [\\computername | /DOMAIN[:domainname] | /RTSDOMAIN[:domainname]] [/SET
]
[\\computername] /QUERYSNTP
[\\computername] /SETSNTP[:ntp server list]

net time \\novelserver /setsntp

Here is a good link on time service issue

That is the command I have been trying, but I keep getting "system error 1707 has occurred... The network address is invalid" Is there something I have to do to the Novell server I am trying to sync with?
