We need to run a batch file which takes down the Exchange services before a backup and start them back up afterwards. I know we need to use the "net start..." and "net stop..." commands in batch files and create at commands etc but I've forgotten the exact syntax we need to use. Please someone remind me!

thanks

NET STOP SERVICE

e.g.
net stop "pcanywhere host service"

I take it we need the quotation marks around the service name? thanks for your swift response

I believe that you only need them if there is a space in the service name, never use that command much, just took that from a batch file that I have
