.NET application security and Intranet Zone w/ IE7

We have a couple .NET applications on file shares.

In IE6 we simply added the file shares to the local intranet zone on everyone's computer via group policy and raised the security level of that zone. This functionality doesn't appear to be working with IE7 though.

Does anyone know of a workaround?
