Nested BOMs

I would like to find out how to create a BOM with nested BOMs in it. I have sub-assemblies that are made up of individual parts(items) and sub-sub assemblies. However, in MAS 200 in BOM Maintenance, you can't see other BOMs not declared as items. If the sub-sub assembly is declared as an item, then I can't enter any line items to input the constituents of the Sub Assemblies. How do I accomplish this as I have 7 layered BOMs.

If you don't want to set up your subassemblies as inventory items but want to include them as components in other BOM's do the following:
In BOM setup, make sure you have "use Phantom bills" checked.
Create your subassemblies as Phantom bills.
Then in BOM maintenance go to your parent bill/detail tab Beside the item lookup there is a "flashlight" icon to lookup phantom BOM's.
