Nero 5.5 OEM came with Optorite CDRW

I keep getting an audio.ocx error when trying to install Nero.
PC Specs are:
Onboard sound AC97
16MB video TNT Vanta
1GB Athlon
256MB PC133 ram
Gigabyte GA 7ZXE
Conexant Modem with voice
CD Rom 52X
Optorite CDRW

I am about to format the drive and start over. I would just like to know what is causing this. It looks like the sound to me, but I can't figure out why.

Never mind,I formatted and reinstalled. Interestingly, I put Nero on first and it worked like a charm. I still am not sure exactly what caused the conflict but the computer works like a charm now.
