Need to upgrade my IOS 4.4(7) ?

Choice of an OS version is up to the admin. You should examine the features you use of the PIX and consult the release notes. If the release notes tell you that there are new better features or that a bug that affects your configuration has been fixed you should consider changing.
Right now the latest v4.4 release is v4.4(8). Your 515 will probably also run the latest v5.2 release as well as the latest v6.1. Going to v6.x gives you access to the PDM GUI.
