My boss recently was forced to upgrade from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003(change is not a forte). In the 2000 version, the attachments were displayed in an area below the body of the email. In 2003, they are displayed inthe Attachments: area in theheader of the message. Is there a way to have attachemnts in received emails to appear in a separate area below the body or in the body of the email and not in the header area in Outlook 2003?

hi,

Attachments open in the appropriate application. Attachments are not part of the message unless the sender sends as such. Dont recall how 2000 handled.

How would you display a multi-sheet workbook in the message?

How would you display an Access database in the message?

No. There is no way to control this.

If the message was sent as Rich Text then attachment icons will be in the message body - in-line, not in the "special area" at the bottom like they were in 2000.

If messages were sent as HTML or Plain Text then attachment icons show in the inspector's header area.
