Need to save from workstation, but not delete

Hi,
Another problem plaguing me is the fact that the kids at the schools use a universal login to get acces to their class folder on the server. The problem is that one little clown keeps deleting the files within. MS Word seems to need not only write permission, but the modify permission as well. Is there anyway I can let them save word Docs on the server but keep them from deleting the files?
