need to move emails to a other computer

hi, I need to move email from a old win98 system to a xp system. Anyone knows where are the emails in win98 (folder) and to wich one I have to copy them in windows xp

the adress book file location could be usefull.

The answer depends on what mail client you're using. Assuming a normal Outlook Express setup:

mail is stored in *.dbx files
addresses are stored in *.wab files

If you copy all the files to somewhere your new computer, you should have no trouble using Outlook Express's Import function to bring them in.

If you are using Outlook ( not Outlook express ) then look for *.pst files.
