Need to find >Dot Prompt

My memory is failing me and I have a dumb question. I am trying to uninstall Acrobat which is all screwed up on an XP computer. The uninstall doesn't work and when I try to delete AcroIEHelper.dll it won't let me do it because it is in use. I rebooted to free it up, no luck. I now want to go to the dot prompt on start-up and manually delete it before Windows kicks in. My question, how do you get the dot prompt on start up in XP? Thanks for your help.

Do you mean DOS prompt? Boot into recovery console and select command line startup.

Have a look at MsConfig and see what Adobe software is running at Startup.
