My memory is failing me and I have a dumb question. I am trying to uninstall Acrobat which is all screwed up on an XP computer. The uninstall doesn't work and when I try to delete AcroIEHelper.dll it won't let me do it because it is in use. I rebooted to free it up, no luck. I now want to go to the dot prompt on start-up and manually delete it before Windows kicks in. My question, how do you get the dot prompt on start up in XP? Thanks for your help.[smile2]

Do you mean DOS prompt? Boot into recovery console and select command line startup.

Have a look at MsConfig and see what Adobe software is running at Startup.
