need to extract all the columns except for one

Hi, it depends on how many columns are involved..
If 2 then its easy, if 200 then I would create a view
with the 199 I wanted ( at least I only had to type them once or
you could use a query on USER_TAB_COLUMNS ( ALL_ or DBA_)
to build the 'text' for the view as a spooled output..
which you can edit to pick the columns to exclude)
