Need to display computer name on the desktop

I manage the systems in a school system, and most of the PC's are running Windows 98, (until I can beg for funds to upgrade to XP,) and I know that there is a way to display the computer name on the desktop, I just can not find where I have seen it.

Any pointer would be greatly appreciated.

I normally change "my computer" icon to the system name.
