need to detect the release of a button in atouch screen(nomouse) app

I have constructed a small dialog based app. The user will interface with a touch screen(no mouse). I need to detect when a button release event occurs ----very grateful of any advice

The event should be the same as a mouse click. OnMouseUp/Down should still work perfectly fine. We did not need to add any extra code for our touch screen app.
