NEED TO COPY MY WINDOWS CD 1

I have Windows 2000 professional. My original CD got scratched and was therefor trashed.
I have a new copy now and I tried to burn a copy on to a new CD but the new CD will error out during a new installation.
Is there a special way to copy a windows 2000 pro installation cd?

I have burned WIN2K more than once, make sure you are using a good CD...I have trouble with the ones that have the black protective covering on the burn side. I have always used Easy CD Creator with no problems but there is other burning software out there that will aid in burning disks that my be protected. Remember if you bought a copy its your right to be able to make a backup.

I have made a backup copy of every version of Windows i have bought and haven't had a single problem, except with Win2k Pro, I don't know why, but I find that if I burn a copy with Easy CD Creator it doens't work, however when I made a copy wiht CloneCD instead i had no problems with it. You might want to look into trying that.

Yes I had the same experience.
Copying win2k does not work. Using cloneCD worked perfectly.
