I have recently aquired a Compaq Deskpro P2 350 MHz as a cheap second computer to help me set up a network and I have discovered that the wires coming out of the power unit only have one connector for the HD and a smaller one for the floppy. I need to connect a slimline cdrom drive but being a relative newbie to wielding a screwdriver I dont know how to add another power connection. I would greatly appreciate any advice on this matter which to some I expect is a simple one.
Cheers Cam

You can buy a cable at your local computer store that adds another connector. There will be a female connection and two or more male connections on the cable.

These cables are called Power Dividers or Power Splitters. Most PC components use the same style of power connections but look closly (or take a picture) of yours to make sure you buy the right kind.

Also be sure to buy enough length to reach both devices.

Hope this helps. :-) Post back with success or failure resolving issue(s).
