Need to change "Reistered to" 2

Hello.
My laptop runs Windows 2K Pro. It was setup by an intern in my department. Unfortunately, he misspelled (sic?) my name (rather badly I might add). So under the General tab of System Properties, the name is wrong under "Registered to:"

? - Is it possible to change this "value" without having to reinstall Win 2K Pro.

Try changing

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Change the RegisteredOwner key New Zealand, a great place to visit.

You might also want to do a regedit search under your mis-spelled name, since sometimes (especially if there's Microsoft Office software installed) other programs will pick up the wrong name when installed. Jennifer Sigman
