Need to add a cart to my site

I need to make it simple. How do I add a shopping cart to my site? Don't want to use paypal. I'd like keep it in house.

there are many payment portals you can use- plenty of free PHP ones, or if you want to build the cart yourself you can link to an internet merchant bank account payment system.
the simplest way is probably to use a prebuild shopping cart system like fishcart

and change the layout to suit you. Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..
