Need PowerPoint presentation to be shown on TV with regular DVD only. 2

I am preparing a PowerPoint Presentation that needs to be shown on a regular TV screen using a non PC DVD. I know that PowerPoint has a controlling "engine" that makes the show run including graphics, timing changes, sounds, photos, etc. After the PP show is saved either as a PPT or PPS if it will play on the TV through its DVD, CD-R or CD-RW.

DO I need special equipment? Do the individual photos need to be part of a large PPT file or can the photos be placed in a directory in a DVD, CD-R or CD-RW?

Can a saved PowerPoint Presentation be taken to somewhere such as Walmart, CVS, a photo shop, etc. for them to copy the presentation to a regular TV CD or DVD?

Tv's often now come with vga ports so you can plug your laptop into the tv and use it as a projector.

I think this can be done with video-s also

It's really two different technologies. A DVD is a streaming, compressed video. Even though you're recording "Stills", the DVD is constantly sending the same information in a video stream.

You can try finding something to convert your powerpoint to an MPG or VOB, but then you would need to master the DVD using something like Nero, Roxio, etc.

So, in other words, it *can* be done. But it requires a couple of steps. Also, it won't be a powerpoint at that point; it will be a video. There will be no mouse clicks, etc. just whatever timing you have in the presentation.
