Hi Guys,

We are trying to install ColdFusion MX Server on a Win 2000 professional edition . During the installation we select the webserver as "Internet Information Server " .

At the end of installation , it doesn't open the admin page (index.cfm).Instead of that it gives the message stating that save the program/open from its current location .

Any one please give the step by step procedure to fix the problem.

Thanks in Advance
Jerish

Jerish,

It sounds to me like CFMX is not configured on your IIS server, and that it has installed itself onto the built in webserver that comes with CFMX.

You can test this by trying to access the administrator via the following url:

If this comes up then it looks like MX is configured to use the built in webserver.

Follow the steps in this article on the MM site.

If this isn't the case then, have you installed the IIS lockdown tool. there seems to be a problem with this, ahve a look at this article on the MM site.
hope this helps!

Tony

Hi Arperry,

Thanks for your reply. Still I am getting some error.

I am having the below problem when I try to configure the IIS server as web server.

Below are the steps I followed for the ColdFusion MX installation.

1) Install CFMX server with standalone web server.

2) I can able to open the administrator page on port 8500.

3) Stop the CFMX services.

4) Install CFMX updated 3 .

5) Start the CFMX services.

6) I can able to open the administrator page on port 8500.

7) From the <CFusionMX>\Bin\Connectors folder, double click on the IIS_connector.bat file .

8) Since I received an error stating that Jrun is not started, I have closed the DOS window and launch <CFusionMX>\Bin\cfstart.bat then again I launched the IIS_connector.bat again.

9) The directory "<CFusionMX>\runtime\lib\wsconfig\1" is not yet created .

10) I have attached the content of the "wsconfig" file at the end.

11) As per the guidance given in the below link about the jrun error , ,

I have modified the "JRunProxyService" in the jrun.servlet.jrpp.JRunProxyService as "false"
and then run the IIS_Connector.bat again. But the same error comes again.

How can I resolve this one ? Please give the step by step procedure to overcome this error.
