I know some are going to say Mac is better for this, but i've used Windows all my life and know them much better so I'm sticking with them
Anyway, I've been looking around for a new (custom) computer, and I was curious if anybody had hardware suggestions. I would rather high end but not too overpriced since I dont have a ton of money and dont want to spend 10K on a comp, nor do I want to spend 5K and need to upgrade it 2yrs from now
So, what I want to do with the computer is VERY graphic intense, things such as CAD, Quark, Bryce 3D, Adobe... and I just want some tips on what processor type would be better, if ECC ram or non would matter much, the video card type (Quatro's and ATI Fire's have been high on my list so far) I dont care about the hard drive, I figure I can get a 36.5GB (maybe 75.4 even, whatever it is) 10 or 15KRPM drive and just use CD-RW's when I need more space
If anybody knows what would be best for those type of applications it would be great to know
Thanx
