I am running nt4.0. I have a user that is logging on to the network useing a roaming profile. For some reason, on her own pc she able to brows her outlook e-mail and make changes and can see her icons. When she logs onto to another machine she doesn't see any icons and her outlook e-mail doesnt show up. It asks that outlook to be rienstalled again when its already intalled. I check to see if on the server the path to her profile was correct and it is correct. It points to her profile. What should I do next? Deos someone have a solution or a site for my sollution?

Thanks

You're sure her profile is being loaded on each machine? (ie, you've watched her log on) - because if it isn't and someone has set up outlook (locally) on her own machine, that would explain the problem.

Are all workstations running same operating system?

No, not all workstations are running the same O.S's. Some are running 2000 and some are running NTworkstation4.0. Every time she logs on to her workstation which is nt4.0 her profile works fine with all the icons, but when she logs on to a different machine with an O.S of 2000, her Icons dont show up or her e-mail doesnt show up at all in outlook. It use to show up before when she use to logon to a different machine.

Does the profile actually load on the 2k machines? (so if you look at the local copy, its got the correct icons for example?). Can you find her Outlook mail (.pst file?) once she's logged on?

Has she got the same local permissions on NT & 2k machines?

See if (or links there) are any help.

No her profile icons and e-mail do not show up when she logs on the windows 2k and some 4.0 machines. Its only working for her own nt4.0 workstation that she can see her e-mail and icons. The profile folder is saved on the server and on the user manager for domains her user name has a path pointing to that folder under profiles. Thats it.

I meant - can you see them by looking at local copy of profile in explorer? If its been copied down correctly the \desktop folder under either \winnt\profiles\herusername or \Documents and Settings\herusername will contain the icons as they exist on the server copy (whether she can see them on desktop or not is another issue if they're present. If they're not present, then the roaming profile isn't being copied to these workstations). Have you checked if there are several local profiles with her username (on problem machines), with extensions (eg, .000) - as windows creates these when the profile gets corrupted. If so (even if not), try removing any local copies of profiles which contain her username - so next time she logs on you can check immediately if the roaming profile correctly copied (just compare it with server copy).
