Hello all,
I am a total noob to Legato and have 2 situations on my current server.

Environment - HP-UX 11.0 running on 800 machine.
Legato - 6.1.4

Problem #1
I currently have an internal 4mm DAT drive on this machine. I have created a device with this drive and I am getting an error "Volume “[vol]” on device “[device]” Block size is 1024 bytes not 32768 bytes. Verify the device configuration. Tape positioning by record is disabled

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I add the NSR_BLOCK_DEVICE variable to the init.d/networker file but still not good.

Problem #2
I have created a new pool and cannot figure out how to get a client to use that pool only, not the default that it keeps trying to use.

Thanks for your help!!

NW expectes the tape label to be written in a 32kB data block.
However, the block size found is 1kB. This means that the media has been used
by another program.

To solve the problem, simply label the tape.

-----------------------------------------------------

With respect to the pool problem:

- Create a new pool.
- In the parameter list field "client", simply state that
client's name.
- Save the pool parameters.
- Label a media for that pool. That's it.

The NSR_BLOCK_DEVICE_4MM=32 entered into the init.d/networker startup script did the trick.
