S8710 / Modular Messaging 4610SW IP sets
Greetings all. I am still very much in the early learning stages of VOIP and am tinkering around with different projects to help me learn more. The announcement and vector I have set up is only for my personal practice and is of no user for anything else other than practice on the workings of the system. What I would like to do is dial a system only extension, which is 59714 and have it play an announcement,(I have three seperate announcements 59714, 59715 and 59716). then go to music, then play another announcement, then go to music, then play a final announcement and disconnect.
I want it to sound something like "you have reached xyz company. hold for the next agent". then you hear MOH then "please continue to hold", then MOH, then "we have gone out of business", then disconnect.
I guess this is sort of like what would be used in an ACD help desk scenario only I am not trying to be that elaborate at this time (don't know how yet
. I don't want to add hunt groups or coverage paths. That will be a later project after I learn more basic stuff.
The Avaya documentation tells me that this should work but when I dial 59714 it plays the first announcement only and disconnects. Can anyone see why this is not working? As I said I am still pretty much unexperienced and can take constructive criticism so feel free. Here is my setup:
